Trend Report: Oversized Coats

The bigger and bolder the shoulder the better! For this Fall season over sized coats are totally in, giving a subtle drama and modern elegance to any woman wearing them.

Already last season you could find them in the catwalk but now they have become one of the strongest, if not indeed the strongest outwear trend, being used by fashion designers such as Alexander Wang, Jil Sander and Stella McCartney. 

This trend is not merely just a bit looser coats but drastically oversized, with dropped shoulders and extra long cuffs.

It was already very used last Fall but this time you'll see large masses of people wearing it, but be aware! Oversized coats won't suit everyone, I mean anything fits in a model so it'll be always looking good in the catwalk, but in real life with real woman it might not look so good, specially if you're small and have more pounds than the usual weight.

If you love this trend but it's hard for you to find a store that sells this kinds of coats just borrow one of your boyfriends, I know I do it all the time! Also you can combine with many different pieces, not tights ones only anymore like last season.

Fall Trend Report: Punk Style

Hello girls, how's your Wednesday so far? Today I'll be talking about one of the main trends for the Fall - Punk Style. 

Punk Fashion started to be commercialized in the 80's (though before that it already existed but handmade for a small amount of people) and famous designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood have use many of it's element in their fashion lines. The main feeling of it is rebellion so subcultures like rude boys, glam rock, skinheads, greasers and mods can be find on it, being items like tartan, vynil, chains, patent leather, studs and spikes used all the time.

This season designers like Junya Watanabe and Donatella Versace brought it up again in a strong again (also designers like Chanel, YSL, Givenchi,..) with their clothes, accessories and hairstyles as you can see from the pictures bellow:

So as you can see for this season designers tried to give it a more modern look while preserving the basis of the Punk look.
